Soap and Apples

We started making lye soap in June. So many things to learn about safety and cool chemical reactions. We finished the soap with the milling process in September. It is amazing how much soap this one batch made. I can believe that several people could make enough soap to last a year in just a couple weekends.

Also did an apple press for fresh apple cider. So good. Always fun to watch the juice pour out of the press.
